Here are the sketches that I have made to start my digital portraits.

Man i know I am supposed to be posting new art like everyday.
But to no avail I deliver an epic FAIL!
Im currently working on these portraits. They are digital paintings.
Trying to get better at doing that. After and during these digital paintings i shall be working on more cool shit.
Storyboards, Animatic, & other cool stuff.
And i was inspired by artist Zak Smith (no relation)
I remember seeing an exhibition of his that he drew a sketch for every page of a book that he was reading.
And I thought to myself, “Hey I think I could do that!” So once im finished with the digital paintings i will be definitely posting sketches everyday or every other day.

so im starting out with doing 2 minute sketches of photographs & my wooden model.
A lot of fails because in a 2 minute drawing I’m supposed to get the gesture of the model but instead I’m trying to get a GOOD sketch down instead of getting the gesture.
But the more i did it the better I got. I have to keep this up to get my skills back to par.

They eyes are the windows to ones soul. That’s what people say, in
addition to may daily routine if will sometimes only do studies on
eyes. The eyes show so much expression when you incorporate the
eyebrows. It can show when your happy, sad and surprised. If you wanna
see some GREAT eye animation that shows a lot of expression you should
check out the Wallace & Gromit films. The character Gromit has no
speaking parts but when you see his expression through his face you
know what’s going on.
